Jávea Park es un barrio muy afectado por la delincuencia juvenil, la pobreza y las drogas, pero desde que una ciudadana que participa en la Agenda 21 impulsó la mejora y el acondicionamiento de un espacio recreativo para los jóvenes, la convivencia en esta zona ha mejorado notablemente.

Con la colaboración y ayuda del Ayuntamiento, esta ciudadana ha logrado involucrar a los jóvenes para decorar con grafitis el perímetro del parque, colocar canchas de fútbol y mesas de ping-pong. Asimismo, se ha asfaltado el parking adyacente.

Aún queda mucho trabajo por hacer. Para empezar, con la ayuda de los presupuestos participativos, se quiere ampliar la zona de skate-BMX y mejorar la iluminación del parque.

Javea Park is a depressed area in the Arenal, where juvenile delinquency and drugs are common. But since one of the neighbors has decided to improve the existing play area for the youngsters in the neighborhood, the quality of life there has improved for all.

With the help of the Town Hall, this neighbor has managed to get the kids to decorate the walls of the park with graffiti and to improve the play field, with ping pong tables.

Now, with the help of the participative budget, the next goal is to enlarge the skate park and to add better lighting.
